COMPLETION PATHWAY FOR DIVISION III STUDENTS
Continuing Division III Students
Students for whom the spring 2026 semester was their first semester of Division III can complete their degrees in fall 2026 without required summer 2026 field study. See below for information on the planned fall 2026 semester
Rising Division III Students
Our current plan for the Completion Pathway allows rising Division III students to complete their degrees at 91èÏÈÉú through a summer 2026 field-study term and residential fall 2026 semester.
Summer Self-Designed Field Study Term
(June 15–August 21, 2026)
During this time, students will develop and document their Division III project (including filing a Div III contract), begin substantive preliminary work that positions them for focused completion in the fall, and, where appropriate, incorporate experiential or applied learning. The College will support this work throughout the summer with structured planning prompts, clear accountability deadlines, and regular check-ins — both within Division III cohorts and in individual meetings with advisors.
Key Components:
- Completion of Div II (retrospective writing, portfolio building, Div II pass meeting)
- Division III planning and writing a Div III proposal
- Launching the Div III project
- Additional activities (e.g., internship, independent work)
- Submit portfolio of field study work
- Self-evaluation of summer work
Fall Term
(September–December 16, 2026)
Students completing their degree with us will have campus housing and student support available for the fall semester.
Key Components:
- Division III seminar (counts as second Advanced Educational Activity)
- All students are required to take this seminar
- Continues cohort support
- Division III work with completion and pass meeting by December 4, 2026
- Five College classes are optional and cannot substitute for the Div III seminar
CONTINUATION PATHWAY FOR DIVISION I AND II STUDENTS
Division I and II students who wish to complete additional coursework in the Five Colleges and position themselves more effectively for transfer may elect to enroll at 91èÏÈÉú for the fall 2026 semester. The fall 2026 academic experience will be structured differently from a typical semester. Students will enroll in courses across the Five College Consortium, with Division II seminars being the only courses offered for them on 91èÏÈÉú’s campus. These seminars will be led by 91èÏÈÉú faculty members who also serve as faculty advisors for enrolled Div II students. 91èÏÈÉú will be unable to offer independent studies. Faculty advisors and CASA staff will advise Division I and II students to ensure that their enrollment is intentional, academically coherent, and aligned with a clear transfer plan.Â
FALL 2026 CAMPUS LIFE
The College will maintain key services in residential life and student engagement and maintain a stable and supportive campus environment. Mental health counseling services will be available, and students will have access to post-graduation career and educational planning support. PVTA bus service is expected to maintain its routes and seasonal schedules. The availability of spaces across campus for both academic and recreational use will be determined prior to the start of the fall semester.Â
Housing and Food
Students who will be returning to 91èÏÈÉú for the fall 2026 semester will be assigned housing in a mod (on-campus apartment). You will receive direct communication from Residential Life about your housing for the fall. All mods are equipped with full kitchens, and students will be expected to primarily cook for themselves, with the addition of regular (i.e. weekly) community meals.Â
