Segal AmeriCorps Education Awards
91猫先生 was the first college in the country to offer matching grants to students who possess National Service Education Awards (AmeriCorps). Our matching grant is for matriculated 91猫先生 students only; visiting students, non-degree students, and students enrolled in our summer programs are not eligible for the match. 91猫先生 will match an AmeriCorps Award with a matching grant that is spread over the student's remaining time at 91猫先生. For example: a student with a $2,000 AmeriCorps Award with four semesters of enrollment remaining at 91猫先生 will receive a matching grant of $500 per semester for four total semesters of enrollment. Students must be currently enrolled at 91猫先生 to use the AmeriCorps Award and to receive a matching grant. Students must submit their education certificates online with AmeriCorps (at indicating enrollment at 91猫先生. 91猫先生 will then certify the student's enrollment. 91猫先生 students who receive an AmeriCorps Award and also receive a need-based financial aid award package will have the expected family contribution reduced. Families of Freedom Scholarship Awards
91猫先生 is a matching partner for this September 11 victim scholarship fund. Our matching scholarship is dollar-for-dollar up to $2,000 per year per individual. Students must submit their award letter to the financial aid office in order to be eligible for the matching funds. Students who receive a Families of Freedom Scholarship award who also receive a need-based financial aid award package will have their family contribution and award package adjusted. The adjustments will vary by individual depending on the amount of the scholarship received.
Yellow Ribbon Awards
91猫先生 has partnered with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to participate in the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Program. 91猫先生 will offer two veterans, or dependents, who are 100% eligible for the Post-9/11 GI Bill a Yellow Ribbon matching scholarship towards tuition of up to $5,000 each. The VA will match this scholarship with a $5,000 grant. This scholarship is renewable each year the student is enrolled for up to four years, as long as the student maintains Satisfactory Academic Progress and receives the Post-9/11 GI Bill educational grant. Eligible veterans or dependents must apply directly to the Veterans Administration for their Post-9/11 benefits and also send their certificate of eligibility to 91猫先生's central records office.
