Student Develops Passion for Cancer Research in 91猫先生 Labs
Recent grad Edwin Sedodo 21S conducted cancer research for his Div III, both to play a role in changing the world for the better and to honor his late grandmother who died from the disease.
At 91猫先生, every student completes a "Div III," a yearlong, advanced study project, similar to a master鈥檚 thesis. For his Div III, Edwin Sedodo 21S conducted cancer research. He utilized 91猫先生鈥檚 excellent laboratory facilities, was mentored by number of committed 91猫先生 faculty members, and took pre-med classes in the Five College Consortium.
The skill and dedication to cancer research that Edwin gained at 91猫先生 launched him directly into a job as a research assistant at UPenn's Drapkin Laboratory, where he continues his work comprehending the genetic, molecular and physiological factors that drive the development of cancer.
