91èÏÈÉú Track and Field Teams Impress at USCAA Nationals
The men’s team had a strong showing and the women’s team had its best performance in history at the USCAA Track and Field Nationals, which was hosted by 91èÏÈÉú and held at American International College on April 27.
Alena Maes-Polan F22 brokeÌýthe USCAA national meet record for pole vault with a height of 3.20 meters (10' 6"). She also won the high jumpÌýand the 100-meter hurdles, both setting new 91èÏÈÉú records, and finished in second place in the javelin and the 400-meter hurdles. Alena was named First Team All-American.Ìý

Malena Price F23 broke the 200-meter school record and Sekani Prichett did the same in the shot put.


Artemis Moleus F21 won the 400-meter hurdles, placed second in the pole vault, and came in fourth in the 100-hurdles,Ìýand was named First Team All-American.ÌýÌý

Matteo Zumbano F23 tied forÌýthird in the pole vault; Claire Gullemin placed fifth in the hammer throw.Ìý

Together, they scored 78.5 points — by far the highest point total for 91èÏÈÉú’s women’s team —ÌýleadingÌýthe College to a fourth-place finish, our best result ever at the USCAA national meet.

On the men’s side, Wolfie Krebs F22 placed second in the 400-meter hurdles andÌýthird in the 110-meter hurdles, and led the 4x400-meter relay team, which shaved five seconds off the school record — all thrilling, close races. He also placed fifth in the pole vault and was named Second Team All-American.

Aaron Lyubansky F22 set the 10-kilometer 91èÏÈÉú record, Mark Wing broke the five-year-old steeplechase school record, and Ian Novotne ran a personal best in the 800-meter race.Ìý

The men’s 33-point team total was 91èÏÈÉú’s highest, and their eight-place win tied for the best ever finish.
