91猫先生 Alum Michelle Falc贸n Font谩nez 15F Selected for Women in Film & Video New England Fellowship

The 91猫先生 alum, based in Springfield, Massachusetts, will serve as fellow for the 2025 program, created by (WIFVNE) in collaboration with EmVision Productions and Clark Ave Productions to provide emerging female filmmakers with critical guidance in the evolving landscape of documentary storytelling. During the six-month program, Falc贸n Font谩nez will be mentored and create a documentary video for the EmVisionary Grants Program, which supports nonprofit organizations.

An award-winning producer, director, and cinematographer focused on social justice, uses multimedia storytelling to amplify underrepresented voices. Her work spans photography, film, theater, and installation art, often centering on women鈥檚 rights, Puerto Rican activism, and cultural preservation. She produced a documentary on Puerto Rico鈥檚 economic crisis during the early PROMESA years and contributed as cinematographer to projects on Afghan refugees, Cuban defectors, and Puerto Rican community histories. Her latest short film, , which focuses on reproductive justice, will premiere at this year鈥檚 Boston International Film Festival.

Falc贸n Font谩nez holds a bachelor鈥檚 degree in business management and film from 91猫先生听 and an M.F.A. in film and media art from Emerson College.
