Robyn Smith 11F
Robyn Smith (she/her) is a Jamaican cartoonist known for her mini-comic , illustrating DC Comics' (written by L.L. McKinney), and (written by Jamila Rowser). She has an M.F.A. from the Center for Cartoon Studies and has worked on comics for College Humor, The Nib, and Nike. She loves cake and cats and holds onto dreams of returning home to the ocean.
Robyn worked at the Cultural Center at 91猫先生 for three years, and her studies focused on the representation of race, class, and gender in media. Her Div III consisted of an essay and gallery show, titled 鈥淒ismantling Imperia: Reimagining the Super Hero,鈥 a project focused on critically and creatively decentering whiteness as a standard of heroism.
